We start the new year with good news!

Five young women (Bontle, Direlang, Ednah, Nancy & Ndabokas) are currently doing a four-week intensive safari guide course in the Moremi Game Reserve. The course is led by the highly experienced guide and instructor Okwa Sarefo from Wild Expedition. The young women, who all come from Maun, are staying at Kaziikini Camp during the course and are overjoyed to have real opportunities to work as professional safari guides after successfully passing their exams. The profession is highly respected in Botswana and the salary is good, but unfortunately it is mainly men who work as guides.

Our aim is to give young women in Botswana the opportunity to work as professional guides with the help of a scholarship so that they can provide for themselves and their families.
