About the founder

Due to a six-month journey 1998 through southern Africa with following further training to the Safari Guide, already early the basis was created for the fascination Africa with its breathtaking animal world with Theda Gräfin Knyphausen.

On another trip through Botswana in 2012, she finally couldn't let go of the beauty of the country and moved her focus of life to Maun. Initially she built up the safari operator CONSAFARITY, which specialises in tailor-made safaris with "more value".

In 2014 she established the first community project "Waste Management" in 4 schools in Maun and in 2015 founded the non-profit Knyphausen Foundation for Sustainability, Nature Conservation and Education based in Lütetsburg, Lower Saxony, where Theda Gräfin Knyphausen grew up. From every safari booking via CONSAFARITY, 3% are automatically forwarded to the Knyphausen Foundation.

Theda Gräfin Knyphausen develops foundation projects in cooperation with local representatives and supervises the work directly on site. She lives and works most of the year in Maun / Botswana.
