Together with our cooperation partner Katja Visser from StartUp4Kids, the Knyphausen Foundation organised a conference on environmental awareness at the Nhabe Museum on 20.10.2021. Invited were the trainers of FEYS, the teachers of the schools from the Junior Ranger Programme, staff of local NGOs and officials from the Ministries of Agriculture, Environment and Education.
Programme items included the latest documentary film by David Attenborough 'Breaking Boundaries' and planning future environmental protection activities for children and young people on the topics of 'Art from Garbage', planting trees and growing vegetables in school gardens'.
Along the way, there were breaks with healthy food and for personal exchange. At the end, the participants could prove their environmental protection knowledge with various games.
We are happy about the relaxed atmosphere during the conference, the constructive exchange among the participants and look forward to the upcoming joint activities with the children and young people!
