The first "Kids to the Bush" Safari

17.-19.01.2014
Projekt

In cooperation with the local organization Cameras for Conservation, the Knyphausen Foundation organizes the first children's safari in Maun, Botswana! In January 2014, 18 children from socially disadvantaged families or from the non-profit institution for orphans "Bana ba Letatsi" travel to Moremi National Park. Local safari guides teach the children interesting facts about the animal world and about the connections between biodiversity and species protection. The children spend two days and two nights in the bush with their guardians, have their first camp experiences in the wilderness and discover unique moments.
For all participating children it was the first time that they saw wild animals.
