Theda visited our three young scholarship holders on their last practical training day at the camp in Etsha in February.
Each of the three young guides gave a presentation and did a bush walk at the end.
The young women are very motivated and have already learned a lot. Their trainer Okwa accompanies them during their training. Top Guide Pat Malatsi also visited and taught the three about the world of birds.
In the next three months, they will work on theoretical modules of their training and take exams afterwards.
They are also preparing for the theoretical driving test.
So there is still a lot to do!
We wish them every success and look forward to welcoming three more local women as professional safari guides soon!
