The project "Sustainable Nutrition for Children, Youth and Young Adults" has started and is picking up full speed!
The trainers of the partner organization have procured the material and tools for the gardens in recent weeks and are now busy creating the beds and planting seeds.
The vegetable garden on the association's premises will be further expanded and secured with nets.
Later, this will also serve as a project garden for the Junior Rangers.
Soon, more gardens with vegetable beds and fruit trees will be created both for the trainers of the partner organization to provide them with supplies during the Corona pandemic and at five schools participating in the Junior Ranger Program.
Our goal is to expand the project and plant school gardens at all schools participating in the Junior Ranger Program. We hope that as many children and young people in the region as possible will learn to grow vegetables for their own consumption and to process them for a balanced diet.
As part of this project, FEYS trainers also participate in workshops with experts on "Sustainable Nutrition" and then impart their knowledge to the Junior Rangers in practical and theoretical teaching sessions. It remains exciting! We will keep you up to date!
The project is financially supported by the Lower Saxony Bingo Environmental Foundation (https://www.bingo-umweltstiftung.de/).
We would like to take this opportunity to thank them!
